Inclusive and people-centric approach

CF Report got on board with Cornelis Vrolijk and led the effort in refining the sustainability strategy, conducting a dual materiality analysis (DMA), and translating the strategy into defined actions and measures, using the OGSM method. Together, we clearly defined the purpose of the fishing business, whereby, going forward, Cornelis Vrolijk will position itself as ”fishers of tomorrow“ with the purpose statement ”Everything we do should contribute to vital seas and healthy lives.” The company works with stakeholders to make fishing and shrimp farming more sustainable and plays its part in meeting the global demand for healthy and affordable food.

Annual Report 2022

Result

Vital seas and healthy lives

We transformed the family company’s CSR report into a comprehensive, well-designed and CSRD-ready publication. The materiality analysis (DMA) and extensive stakeholder interviews provide a more thorough and conclusive insight into the environmental, social and governance impacts of the company’s operations. A first for a family business in an inherently closed industry of fisheries. We created a visual representation of the results of the DMA in a spectacular materiality matrix. Alongside a compelling strategy model and value creation, these are the building blocks of a consistently interconnected report. Using compelling stories, topical photographs, and inspiring cases, we presented the company’s performance for FY 2021-2022 and future ambitions in a multifaceted way.
