Since it was founded in 1977, Boels has expanded into a multinational company through a combination of organic growth, acquisitions, and geographic expansion. When the need arose in 2020 to take their reporting to the next level, CF report was called in for the design, copywriting, and creation of the annual report including the integration of CSRD, the accompanying press release, and an engaging CFO video in which events in the past year were explained in a clear and above all accessible manner.

The sharing economy is a focal point at Boels: 865,000 rental items are supplied to thousands of customers both online and through a network of 764 depots in 18 European countries. Boels thus delivers demonstrable added value for all its stakeholders. However, Boels is and remains a family business: entrepreneurial and with a can-do mentality.

Full-service reporting partner

CF Report takes care of all texts and conducts the interviews for Boels, but also acts as a strategic advisor on reporting and the integration of CSRD. In addition, CF Report realizes the dashboards and strategic visuals in the report (value creation, value chain, CSRD set-up and roadmap, key figures and more) and is responsible for the design, layout, project management, and quality control. The CSR and CSRD section was expanded considerably in Boels’s strongly visual and therefore relatively compact 2023 Annual Report with clear targets and performance overviews for the KPIs and the CSR pillars Customer Care, Employee Care, Environmental Care, and Social Care. The value creation model was further improved and the impacts in the value chain were visualized even better. Interviews with the international Managing Directors offered in-depth insight into the international playing field that Boels is active in.
