ABP is the largest pension fund in the Netherlands and manages the pension capital for in total more than 3 million employees in the public and education sector in the Netherlands. ABP has joined forces with CF Report since 2019, with CF Report providing advice in the area of CSRD integration, GRI compliancy and value creation. In this case, use is made of the reporting tool Tangelo.

Sustainable investment

Pension fund ABP follows a diversified investment strategy aimed at realizing a long-term return in combination with effective risk management. Total assets managed by the pension fund amount to more than €500 billion. In line with its sustainable and responsible investment strategy, ABP is increasingly integrating ESG factors in its investment decisions.

ABP advocates sustainable investment and has set targets to reduce its ecological footprint and to promote sustainable investments. The pension fund endorses international initiatives such as the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), which reflects its commitment to responsible investment.

The 2023 annual report highlights ABP’s robust asset management, commitment to sustainable investment and its role in offering pension security to millions of participants in the Netherlands. To this end, ABP’s vision on sustainability and its responsible investment strategy are presented in a very visual manner, including the ESG criteria that are taken into account in investment decisions and ABP’s efforts to reduce the CO₂ footprint of its investment portfolio. In addition, the high standards for governance and transparency in the pensions fund’s business operations and decision-making processes are also set out in detail.

Digital platform
Using the reporting tool Tangelo, dashboards with the most important key figures and KPIs are presented in an attractively designed digital platform. The CEO video can also be found on this platform. Separate introductory links provide direct digital access to the most important sections. Storytelling through interviews with the most important stakeholder groups make the digital platform complete.
